Man-Tra-Con Corporation and the Southern Illinois Workforce Development Board would like thank everyone who attended the 2024 Workforce Summit: Employer-Driven Solutions.

Man-Tra-Con Corporation was honored this week by a visit from Julio Rodriguez, Deputy Director, Office of Employment and Training, Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO).

Both offices are equipped with computers utilizing Internet access to help job seekers find employment and/or additional training. A career specialist will also be available to provide “one-on-one” assistance to those who meet eligibility requirements.

The Summit, held at the Crowne Plaza Convention Center in Springfield, Illinois on October 27, 2022, brought government and private sector industry leaders together to discuss best practices and to inspire innovation through a variety of presentations and though-provoking discussions.

September 1, 2022 (Marion, Illinois) — After more than 35 years serving Southern Illinois with compassionate leadership and a firm commitment toward education, workforce and economic development initiatives, Kathy Lively, CEO at Man-Tra-Con Corporation, has announced plans to retire by the end of the year.

The Southern Illinois Workforce Development Board is proud to announce that Man-Tra-Con, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and Spero Family Services were named among 44 community-based organizations throughout the state of Illinois to receive a total of $12 million in funding from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) for training and related support services to help individuals struggling to find meaningful employment.
