We are proud to share that our Southern Illinois Workforce Development Board (SIWDB) Chair Terance Henry received an Outstanding Achievement Award from Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Terance was nominated by Laborers Local 773 in honor of Black History Month for his lifelong contributions toward workforce development and labor. Terance credits JTPA, an older workforce program, with the start of his path to where he is today.

The award ceremony was held at the Marine Bank Building in Springfield, Illinois, and honored the achievements of eight African American leaders. Photos shown highlight the event.

Congratulations, Terance!
