John S. Rendleman

The SIWDB was saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Board member John S. Rendleman, 67, at the end of June. A SIWDB member for 23 years, John Rendleman had served as a business representative for the Southern Illinois Workforce Development Board (SIWDB).

In addition to his SIWDB membership, John was also a longtime Jackson County Board member and former board chairman representing District 5.

Mr. Rendleman earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1984, and a law degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1987.

Rendleman had been a licensed lawyer for the past 39 years. He practiced business formation and compliance, business and banking law, real estate law and 3 other areas of law, most recently at Rendleman Law in Carbondale, Illinois.

John Rendleman’s presence on our board and in the communities he served will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Andrea Cowles Eschweiller, and four children Margaret, Eleanore, Allison, and Jane. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
